October is the month the season stops easing in and starts stacking up. A short international stretch comes first, then four straight Premier League matchweeks with nothing in between. For anyone signing up to Bet9ja this month, the promotion code is YOHAIG.

Where the promotion code fits at registration

There is a promo field on the Bet9ja sign-up form, and plenty of new users leave it blank. Put YOHAIG in the field and the account picks up the welcome offer, which runs to a maximum of ₦100,000 based on what you deposit first. It is a one-time box, because the code will not attach to an account that already exists.

The code costs nothing to use. New customers only, and the bonus comes with wagering conditions, which is standard across the market. Check those terms before your first deposit, not after it clears.

Sign up with the YOHAIG promotion code and claim up to ₦100,000 welcome bonus.

The first week belongs to the national teams

The UEFA Nations League runs its third and fourth rounds between the 1st and the 6th of October, so the opening week is international football only. Nigeria travel to the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium to face Russia in a friendly on Tuesday 6 October. The kick-off time was still unannounced when this went up, so confirm it before you stake.

The club season returns on 10 October

League football resumes on Saturday 10 October. Arsenal versus Leeds United opens it at lunchtime, Manchester United take on Tottenham Hotspur later that day, and Liverpool host Manchester City at Anfield on the Sunday. The 17th and 18th give you Everton against Chelsea, Newcastle United versus Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest against Arsenal.

The third matchweek opens on Friday 23 October with Ipswich Town against Nottingham Forest and runs through to Chelsea hosting Tottenham Hotspur on the Saturday evening. The final Saturday, 31 October bonus details, opens with Chelsea against Manchester United and ends with Aston Villa versus Fulham.

There is also the Manchester City case, with the club reportedly found guilty on nearly all of the 115 charges. What the punishment looks like was still unknown at the time of writing. Any sanction announced mid-season would shift the outright markets sharply, so check the latest before committing to a season-long position.

The clock change nobody plans for

British clocks go back on Sunday 25 October and Nigeria does not move. Until Saturday the 24th, UK and Nigerian kick-off times read identically. From the 25th you add an hour, so a 15:00 English kick-off is 16:00 Nigerian time.

Getting the most out of a busy month

•

• Enter the code at registration, not after. YOHAIG only works on the way in.

• Set a monthly figure before the clubs come back and stick to it. Four straight matchweeks makes it easy to drift.
