October is the month the season stops easing in and starts stacking up. A short international stretch comes first, then four straight Premier League matchweeks with nothing in between. If you are opening a Bet9ja account this month, the promotion code is YOHAIG.

What you get for entering the code

The promo field sits on the YOHAIG promo code Bet9ja registration form and most people scroll straight past it. Type YOHAIG into that box and the account is flagged for the welcome offer, worth up to ₦100,000 depending on your first deposit. It is a one-time box, because the code will not attach to an account that already exists.

Nothing is charged for the code. It applies to new accounts only, and the bonus carries rollover conditions like every welcome offer in the Nigerian market. Read them on the promo page before you fund the account.

Register with promotion code YOHAIG for up to ₦100,000 welcome bonus.

Nigeria in Russia to finish the break

The Nations League plays two more rounds from the 1st to the 6th, and the clubs sit out until after that. Nigeria close their own window with a friendly away to Russia at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on Tuesday 6 October. A kick-off time had not been published when this was written, so check it on the day rather than assuming.

Four Premier League matchweeks with no gap

The clubs are back from Saturday 10 October. Arsenal versus Leeds United opens it at lunchtime, Manchester United take on Tottenham Hotspur later that day, and Liverpool host Manchester City at Anfield on the Sunday. A week later you get Everton versus Chelsea, Newcastle United against Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest hosting Arsenal on Sunday evening.

The third matchweek opens on Friday 23 October with Ipswich Town against Nottingham Forest and runs through to Chelsea hosting Tottenham Hotspur on the Saturday evening. The final Saturday, 31 October, opens with Chelsea against Manchester United and ends with Aston Villa versus Fulham.

One thing hanging over the month: Manchester City have reportedly been found guilty on almost all of the 115 charges brought against them. No sanction had been confirmed when this was written. If anything lands mid-season it moves the title and relegation markets hard, so watch the news before you touch a long-range bet.

A timing note worth more than most tips

UK clocks go back on Sunday 25 October, and Nigeria stays put. Through to the 24th the two clocks match exactly. From the 25th you add an hour, so a 15:00 English kick-off is 16:00 Nigerian time.

Practical notes for October

•

• Enter the code at registration, not after. The code only applies to a new account.

• Fix your October budget before the first matchweek lands. A month with no pause in it is where discipline slips.
