October is the month the season stops easing in and starts stacking up. The month starts with countries, and once that window shuts the Premier League runs four matchweeks without pausing. If you are opening a Bet9ja account this month, the promotion code is YOHAIG.

Where the promotion code fits at registration

The promo field sits on the Bet9ja registration form and most people scroll straight past it. Enter YOHAIG in that box and your new account qualifies for a welcome bonus of up to ₦100,000, scaled to your opening deposit. The code cannot be added afterwards, so the field only works on the way in.

Nothing is charged for the code. New customers only, and the bonus comes with wagering conditions, which is standard across the market. Read them on the promo page before you fund the account.

Register with promotion code YOHAIG to claim up to ₦100,000 as a welcome bonus.

The Super Eagles close the international window

Nations League matchdays three and four fall between 1 and 6 October, which means no club football in the first week. Nigeria travel to the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium to face Russia in a friendly on Tuesday 6 October. The kick-off time was still unannounced when this went up, so confirm it before you stake.

Four Premier League matchweeks with no gap

League football resumes on Saturday 10 October. Arsenal host Leeds United in the lunchtime slot, Manchester United meet Tottenham Hotspur that evening, and Liverpool against Manchester City follows at Anfield on the Sunday afternoon. The following weekend brings Everton against Chelsea, Newcastle United hosting Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest versus Arsenal on the Sunday evening.

Matchweek eight starts on Friday 23 October with Ipswich Town versus Nottingham Forest and peaks with Chelsea against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening. The month closes on Saturday 31 October with Chelsea against Manchester United at lunchtime and Aston Villa hosting Fulham under the lights.

Worth noting: Manchester City have reportedly been found guilty on all but one of their 115 charges. No sanction had been confirmed when this was written. If anything lands mid-season it moves the title and relegation markets hard, so watch the news before you touch a long-range bet.

A timing note worth more than most tips

The United Kingdom returns to GMT on Sunday 25 October while Nigerian time stays where it is. Through to the 24th the two clocks match exactly. From the 25th you add an hour, so a 15:00 English kick-off is 16:00 Nigerian time.

How to approach a month this full

•

• Enter the code at registration, not after. It is a one-time field.

• Decide what the whole month costs you before 10 October. A month with no pause in it is where discipline slips.
