October is where the fixture list stops being polite. A short international stretch comes first, then four straight Premier League matchweeks with nothing in between. If you are opening a Bet9ja account this month, the promotion code is YOHAIG.

What the YOHAIG code actually does

There is a promo field on the Bet9ja sign-up form, and plenty of new users leave it blank. Type YOHAIG into that box and the account is flagged for the welcome offer, worth up to ₦100,000 depending on your first deposit. It is a one-time box, because the code will not attach to an account that already exists.

The code itself is free. It applies to new accounts only, and the bonus carries rollover conditions like every welcome offer in the Nigerian market. Read them on the promo page before you fund the account.

Register with promotion code YOHAIG for up to ₦100,000 welcome bonus.

The Super Eagles close the international window

The Nations League plays two more rounds from the 1st to the 6th, and the clubs sit out until after that. The Super Eagles finish their break against Russia in Nizhny Novgorod on Tuesday 6 October. No kick-off time was confirmed at the time of writing, so look it up before you build anything.

The club season returns on 10 October

League football resumes on Saturday 10 October. Arsenal host Leeds United in the lunchtime slot, Manchester United meet Tottenham Hotspur that evening, and Liverpool against Manchester City follows at Anfield on the Sunday afternoon. The 17th and 18th give you Everton against Chelsea, Newcastle United versus Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest against Arsenal.

Friday 23 October opens the next round with Ipswich Town against Nottingham Forest, and Chelsea versus Tottenham Hotspur headlines the Saturday. October finishes on Saturday 31st, Chelsea versus Manchester United at lunchtime and Aston Villa against Fulham in the evening.

One thing hanging over the month: Manchester City have reportedly been found guilty on almost all of the 115 charges brought against them. What the punishment looks like was still unknown at the time of writing. Any sanction announced mid-season would shift the outright markets sharply, so check the latest before committing to a season-long position.

A timing note worth more than most tips

British clocks go back on Sunday 25 October and Nigeria does not move. Through to the 24th the two clocks match exactly. From the 25th you add an hour, so a 15:00 English kick-off is 16:00 Nigerian time.

Practical notes for October

•

• Enter the code at registration, not after. YOHAIG only works on the way in.

• Decide what the whole month costs you before 10 October. Four straight matchweeks makes it easy to drift.

Bonus terms in this market move, so it pays to read the live page rather than trust a screenshot from three months ago. The bet9ja promotion code page on bet9japromotioncode.com.ng carries the current terms and the parts of the offer people usually miss.

Between the Super Eagles in Russia, Liverpool against Manchester City at Anfield and four uninterrupted Premier League matchweeks, October has plenty on it. Stake to a budget you fixed before the month started.
