October is the point in the season where the calendar gets crowded. The month starts with countries, and once that window shuts the Premier League runs four matchweeks without pausing. If you plan to register with Bet9ja in October, the code you want is YOHAIG.

What you get for entering the code

There is a promo field on the Bet9ja sign-up form, and plenty of new users leave it blank. Type YOHAIG into that box and the account is flagged for the welcome offer, worth up to ₦100,000 depending on your first deposit. The code cannot be added afterwards, so the field only works on the way in.

The code costs nothing to use. It works on new registrations only, and there are rollover terms attached, as there are on every offer of this kind. Look at the conditions first so the bonus behaves the way you expect.

Register with promotion code YOHAIG for up to ₦100,000 as a welcome bonus.

Nigeria in Russia to finish the break

Nations League matchdays three and four fall between 1 and 6 October, which means no club football in the first week. Nigeria close their own window with a friendly away to Russia at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on Tuesday 6 October. The kick-off time was still unannounced when this went up, so confirm it before you stake.

What the Premier League gives you this month

League football resumes on Saturday 10 October. The Saturday runs from Arsenal against Leeds United through to Manchester United versus Tottenham Hotspur, then Anfield has Liverpool against Manchester City on Sunday. The 17th and 18th give you Everton against Chelsea, Newcastle United versus Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest against Arsenal.

Friday 23 October opens the next round with Ipswich Town against Nottingham Forest, and Chelsea versus Tottenham Hotspur headlines the Saturday. The final Saturday, 31 October, opens with Chelsea against Manchester United and ends with Aston Villa versus Fulham.

There is also the Manchester City case, with the club reportedly found guilty on nearly all of the 115 charges. No sanction had been confirmed when this was written. Any sanction announced mid-season would shift the outright markets sharply, so check the latest before committing to a season-long position.

The clock change nobody plans for

The United Kingdom returns to GMT on Sunday 25 October while Nigerian time stays where it is. Until Saturday the 24th, UK and Nigerian kick-off times read identically. From the 25th onward, add an hour: a match listed at 15:00 in England starts at 16:00 in Nigeria.

How to approach a month this full

•

• Fill the promo field while registering, since there is no way back to it. YOHAIG only works on the way in.

• Set a monthly figure before the clubs come back and stick to it. Four matchweeks with no break is a long stretch to stay disciplined.

A Super Eagles trip to Russia, Liverpool versus Manchester City at Anfield and four straight matchweeks make for a full month. Whatever you back, back it within a figure you set in advance.
