October is the point in the season where the calendar gets crowded. A short international stretch comes first, then four straight Premier League matchweeks with nothing in between. If you plan to register with Bet9ja in October, the code you want is YOHAIG.

What you get for entering the code

There is a promo field on the Bet9ja Promotion Code YOHAIG sign-up form, and plenty of new users leave it blank. Put YOHAIG in the field and the account picks up the welcome offer, which runs to a maximum of ₦100,000 based on what you deposit first. It is a one-time box, because the code will not attach to an account that already exists.

The code itself is free. New customers only, and the bonus comes with wagering conditions, which is standard across the market. Look at the conditions first so the bonus behaves the way you expect.

Open an account using the code YOHAIG to claim up to ₦100,000 as a welcome bonus.

Nigeria in Russia to finish the break

The Nations League plays two more rounds from the 1st to the 6th, and the clubs sit out until after that. Nigeria close their own window with a friendly away to Russia at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on Tuesday 6 October. A kick-off time had not been published when this was written, so check it on the day rather than assuming.

The club season returns on 10 October

League football resumes on Saturday 10 October. Arsenal host Leeds United in the lunchtime slot, Manchester United meet Tottenham Hotspur that evening, and Liverpool against Manchester City follows at Anfield on the Sunday afternoon. The following weekend brings Everton against Chelsea, Newcastle United hosting Aston Villa, and Nottingham Forest versus Arsenal on the Sunday evening.

Friday 23 October opens the next round with Ipswich Town against Nottingham Forest, and Chelsea versus Tottenham Hotspur headlines the Saturday. The final Saturday, 31 October, opens with Chelsea against Manchester United and ends with Aston Villa versus Fulham.

One thing hanging over the month: Manchester City have reportedly been found guilty on almost all of the 115 charges brought against them. What the punishment looks like was still unknown at the time of writing. If anything lands mid-season it moves the title and relegation markets hard, so watch the news before you touch a long-range bet.

A timing note worth more than most tips

The United Kingdom returns to GMT on Sunday 25 October while Nigerian time stays where it is. Until Saturday the 24th, UK and Nigerian kick-off times read identically. After that Sunday you add sixty minutes, which makes a 15:00 English kick-off a 16:00 start here.

Practical notes for October

•

• Put the code in during sign-up, because it cannot be added later. YOHAIG only works on the way in.

• Fix your October budget before the first matchweek lands. Four straight matchweeks makes it easy to drift.
